A life of craft.
I’m Hamza Hafdi — a Muslim filmmaker, professional editor and creative entrepreneur. I bring more than 10 years of editing experience to work shaped by cinematic craft, meaningful stories and faith.

More than a decade in the edit
Editing has been part of my work for more than 10 years, across different sectors and kinds of projects. Over the past couple of years, I have also been filming on location, travelling for charity work, working on documentaries and making short films. That experience on the ground informs the decisions I make in the edit.
Confidence with responsibility
I describe myself as a professional editor because I know the craft I can bring to a project, and I take responsibility for delivering it. I find inspiration in the example of Prophet Yusuf, who spoke clearly about his ability when offering to take on a responsibility. For me, recognising a skill means being honest about it, putting it to use and continuing to learn.
A story is a responsibility
I am drawn to work that gives people something to carry with them: a clearer understanding, a new perspective, a reason to act with intention. Film and editing are the languages I use to shape that work. The aim is not simply to make something look cinematic, but to give the form a purpose.
Rooted in faith, open to the world
My Muslim identity informs how I think about creativity, responsibility and success. It does not limit every project to a single subject. Human stories, creative craft, useful education and thoughtful enterprise all have a place in a life shaped by faith.
What I’m building
I am a co-founder of Sacred Chronicles, producing cinematic stories rooted in Islamic history and meaningful education. I also created Inner Compass to help people think through direction, personal branding, content, offers and useful work. Built With Barakah is my content series exploring tools and principles for intentional living.
Live with intention. Leave a legacy.
This is the thread connecting my work. I want the things I make, teach and build to be useful beyond the moment they are seen. Here I share the craft, the questions and the ideas behind that ambition.
Let’s make it matter.
A film, a clearer direction, a story worth telling.
